To support the organisation's growth plans this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Writer to join our team. This is a full time role, based out of our head office in Darwen, Lancashire. We are looking for a forward-thinking individual with the desire to add value to bids, to exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Management and use of various tender portals, including daily reviewing of potential opportunities.
- Reviewing requirements of potential ITT’s and contract documents with relevant management - supporting bid/no bid decision.
- Organisation and participation of internal bid review meetings.
- Review and complete schedule of rates alongside our Quantity Surveyor and Contract Management team, including liaising with internal teams and relevant sub-contractors/supply chain to obtain rates.
- Generate high scoring bid responses in line with the individual requirements and evaluation methodology of PQQ’s, ITT’s and framework bids, including quality responses.
- Proofread and amend existing bid responses and materials.
- Create and manage a Bid Library for all relevant supporting documentation (CV’s, appendices, case studies etc.).
- Attend Supply Chain Meet the Buyer Events and site visits.
- Manage submission of bids in a timely manner and to deadlines, liaising with internal departments to collate submission information.
- Review feedback on successful and unsuccessful submissions to inform future bids and improve overall quality of responses.
Qualifications:
- Experience in bid writing within a similar sector, including quality submissions, pricing requirements and selection questionnaires.
- Knowledge of contract types and conditions (desirable).
- Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 (desirable).
- Effective time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Confidence and knowledge in the use of various tender portals.
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
