About the Role

As our Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager, you'll be a key member of the Site Leadership Team, driving compliance, continuous improvement, and best-in-class safety culture. You'll ensure all legal obligations are met while influencing at every level to embed HSE excellence across operations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement HSE strategies aligned with industry best practice.
  • Lead risk assessments, COSHH programs, and safe systems of work.
  • Act as the site technical expert for Health, Safety & Environment.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (HSE, Environment Agency, Fire Service).
  • Drive behavioural safety programmes and coach colleagues at all levels.
  • Deliver Operational Excellence HSE roadmaps and continuous improvement plans.
  • Monitor KPIs, accident statistics, and compliance audits (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).

What We're Looking For

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and IOSH membership.
  • Environmental qualification (AIEMA desirable).
  • Proven experience in HSE management within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
