Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Market Drayton butter department within our M ller Milk & Ingredients business.

The main purpose of the Laboratory Technician is assuring quality performance through analysis, subject knowledge and testing performance whilst striving to continuously improve in line with the M ller values.

Lab Technician Key tasks:

• Provide expertise through quality based testing and data evaluation
• Demonstrate active involvement in solving problems / trouble shooting through data analysis and evaluation
• Play an active part in building QMS capability across site
• Responsible for laboratory tasks and management systems (5S etc)
• Support and process confirms operations quality control responsibilities
• Provide governance and ownership of Quality Index and other monthly reports
• Responsible for internal and external audit processes

• Looks for “waste” in everything that we do
• Actively seeks out improvement opportunities within the workplace and converts to own continuous improvement projects
• Collaboratively works with other team members to improve our business

• HACCP Awareness (Level 2-3)
• Basic Food Hygiene
• Microbiology and aseptic techniques
• Internal Audit
• Yellow and Green belt problem solving
• A3 problem solving
• Word and Excel
• Electronic Data Capture
• Eden Technologist
• Dairy Science
