Shift Lead to join our Process Department at our flagship Droitwich Dairy.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead, coach and develop a high-performing Process team, driving operational excellence whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, service and cost performance.

As a key leader within the operation, you'll play a pivotal role in developing your team, enhancing performance, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives that support our business objectives.

This role would suit an experienced people leader from a

Food Manufacturing, FMCG or Manufacturing environment who is passionate about developing others and creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading and developing a team to consistently deliver operational targets.
  • Creating and implementing individual development plans to support employee growth and succession planning.
  • Coaching and mentoring front-line colleagues, empowering them to solve problems and improve performance.
  • Managing performance, engagement, attendance and employee relations matters effectively and professionally.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement through Operational Excellence principles and methodologies.
  • Identifying opportunities to eliminate waste, improve efficiencies and optimise processes.
  • Using problem-solving tools and PDCA methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality and food safety within the department.
  • Leading by example through a proactive "Go, Look, See" approach on the shop floor.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience within a Food Manufacturing, FMCG or Production environment.
  • Strong people management and coaching capabilities.
  • Experience managing performance, development and employee relations matters.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ability to engage, motivate and develop teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of continuous improvement tools and methodologies would be advantageous.
