We are currently looking to recruit for HGV Mechanic to join our Transport Department at our Droitwich Depot within our Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution business. This is a great opportunity for HGV Mechanic looking to work for a prestigious logistics company, servicing and repairing a modern well maintained fleet of vehicles. The purpose of this role is to Repair and Maintain our HGV Fleet to comply with legal and company standards. Candidates will be responsible for actively seeking solutions to challenges and for embracing a safe and efficient operating approach to their work.
Location: Droitwich Depot (WR9 0LW)
Contract: Full Time / Permanent
Shift Patterns: 5 out of 7 - inclusive of weekend working
Rate of Pay: £20.04 per hour - £26.69 per hour
Shift Premiums:
- Saturday - £22.45 per hour
- Sunday - £29.69 per hour
- Overtime / Bank Holiday - £29.69 per hour
- Unsociable (hours worked between 1800-0400) - £22.78 per hour
HGV Mechanic Responsibilities:
- To inspect and maintain our HGV Fleet
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport to test centre
- To record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work carried out on each vehicle
- Repair minor accident damage
- Carry out fault diagnosis
- To put safety first regarding all aspects of the role
HGV Mechanic Key Skills & Experience:
- Qualifications required City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
- Commercial experience on HGV's is essential
- Class C+E licence preferable but not essential
- Works well both independently and in a team
- Manages deadlines well and understands how to prioritise a workload
