About the Company

Müller UK & Ireland is a family‑run dairy business that supplies the UK market with a wide range of dairy products. We operate two business areas: Müller Milk & Ingredients (MMI) and Müller Yogurt & Desserts (MYD).

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Apprentice you will join our Manufacturing Academy and learn everything you need to become a skilled Technical Operator. You will work on production lines, maintain machinery, perform food‑safety checks and support team operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery and keep production lines running smoothly
  • Spot and fix faults in equipment and processes
  • Learn about food safety, hygiene, and quality control
  • Understand how ingredients move through the supply chain
  • Work as part of a team to create products people love

Training & Development

During your apprenticeship you’ll work towards a Level 3 Food & Drink Technical Operator qualification delivered by the University of Lincoln. Training is offered in three block weeks each year; travel, accommodation and living expenses will be covered. Note: This role includes shift work and some weekends (depending on age); flexibility is essential.

Benefits

  • £18,500 starting salary, with a pay rise after the first year
  • 40 hours per week, with some shift work (age dependent)

Requirements

  • Grade 5+ in English & Maths (band C or above)
  • Be 16 or older and living in the UK
  • Not currently in full‑time education
  • Willingness to travel for training or project work (travel expenses covered)

Location

You will be based at one of our UK dairies: Manchester, Skelmersdale, Market Drayton, Telford, Minsterley, Droitwich, Severnside & Bridgwater.
