The predicted salary is between 50000 - 60000 £ per year.
As an Employee Relations Partner, you will provide managers with professional support to resolve people‑related matters such as long‑term absence, disciplinary, grievance, and performance management cases, with the goal of achieving the best outcomes for both the business and employees.
Acting as a subject‑matter expert, you will give advice and support, drive best practice, and ensure compliance with company policies and UK employment legislation.
You will travel to sites within the region to build relationships and deepen your understanding of your partner group.
What You'll Do
- Advocate a resolution‑focused culture to improve business outcomes.
- Work closely with Site HRBPs and internal Legal Counsel to align on key employee‑relations issues.
- Coach, guide, and influence people managers on how to handle people‑related matters, developing their knowledge, capability, and confidence.
- Support the training of people managers on their roles and responsibilities in delivering employee‑relations processes.
- Escalate and advise the Head of HR / HRBP and Legal Counsel on complex, high‑risk cases or disputes, determine solutions, and mitigate risk or PR exposure.
- Provide support to Legal Counsel in preparing for employment tribunal cases.
- Proactively support the business with data insights on people trends and issues, and collaborate on improvement strategies and interventions that support organisational change.
- Develop and apply people policies that improve the employee experience and employer brand while mitigating risk to the business.
Qualifications
- Experience managing employee‑relations matters at all levels, cradle‑to‑grave case management.
- Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to adapt to different styles and build effective relationships.
- Experience analysing data to provide insights that support employee engagement and positive relations.
- Deep, up‑to‑date understanding of UK employment legislation and best practice, with continuous learning on changes.
- Relevant specialist employment law qualification and/or CIPD Associate or Chartered membership.
- Passion for continuous improvement, with experience driving operational process change.
- Strong communication, influencing, and customer‑focus skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of management.
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and capability to deliver results within deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Experience achieving challenging SLAs/KPIs.
