We are recruiting a Project Engineering Manager to join our Müller Milk & Ingredients business at our Skelmersdale site on an 18 month fixed term contract. This is a site based, hands on role, leading the successful delivery of engineering and capital projects within a live FMCG manufacturing environment, while providing technical leadership to Project Engineers and wider stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end to end delivery of multiple CAPEX projects from concept to handover.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to Project Engineers and supporting resources.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, risk, scope and delivery timelines.
- Ensure adherence to Müller project governance, investment and change processes.
- Act as the senior engineering interface with Operations, HSE, Quality, Procurement, contractors and OEMs.
- Oversee contractor management, site safety, CDM compliance and commissioning activities.
- Ensure all project documentation, handover packs and asset data are completed to standard.
- Support continuous improvement activities and raise engineering delivery standards on site.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Engineering Manager / Senior Project Engineer within FMCG, food, beverage or dairy manufacturing.
- Strong track record of delivering CAPEX projects in live operational environments.
- Experience leading or mentoring Project Engineers or technical teams.
- HNC/HND or Degree in an engineering discipline.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
