We are recruiting at our Telford Dairy for several Production Operatives. Production Operatives play an essential part in the supply chain, using their technical skills to drive a culture of safety, quality, service, cost, and people, while effectively improving machine performance.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Operating state-of-the-art filling lines with a high level of personal safety and hygiene.
  • Ensuring hygiene and housekeeping consistently achieve target Good Manufacturing Practices scores.
  • Completing all paperwork accurately and ensuring it is audit ready.
  • Achieving operational targets and being accountable for all KPIs.
  • Analysing and adhering to a live production plan.
  • Identifying training needs for career advancement supported by a personal development plan.
  • Minimising the Cost of Non-Quality through adherence to right first-time production.
  • Working closely with colleagues in supporting departments to align with daily planning needs and new product launches.
  • Proposing and implementing solutions for continual improvement.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of health and food safety.
  • Dairy knowledge awareness is desirable but not essential.
  • Material and waste flow understanding.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of site-wide procedures.
  • Technical/mechanical mindset.
