Security Officer

This is a key role where you’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues, visitors, and contractors—so a warm, professional approach and strong customer service skills are essential. If you thrive in a varied role and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing incoming calls and directing queries to the right teams
• Operating the weighbridge and completing transactions
• Monitoring and controlling access via barriers, turnstiles, and gates
• Directing traffic and managing car park access
• Signing in visitors and contractors, issuing keys and access cards
• Coordinating pool car bookings, issues, and returns
• Conducting site unlock/lock-up and regular patrols
• Completing thorough shift handovers

What you’ll bring:

• A proactive, positive attitude with excellent communication skills
• A strong customer service mindset and professional presentation
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage priorities effectively
• Previous experience in a security or similar customer-facing role
• Good organisational skills and confidence using IT systems
• Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
