Contract: Permanent / Full time

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 6-6 (days only)

We are recruiting a Quality Technician at our Minsterley site. The role involves working within the QC team to ensure products meet microbiological, physical, and chemical standards before dispatch. The technician will support both Microbiology and Analytical areas and assist Operations in resolving quality issues to identify root causes.

The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, the ability to work independently, good communication skills, dairy experience, and a proactive attitude towards a career in quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical and chemical tests on products, semi-finished goods, utilities, chemicals, and other elements as per site standards.
  • Manage sampling schedules, compliance, validation, verification, and maintenance within QMP/EMP.
  • Complete all required testing, including routine and non-routine.
  • Manage the Daily Product Review (Taste Panel) and log data accurately.
  • Collect, label, and record samples for external analysis, such as nutritional testing and allergen validation.
  • Perform general lab duties like cleaning, reagent preparation, and glassware cleaning.
  • Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, products, and environmental monitoring points.
  • Investigate out-of-spec results and escalate as necessary.
  • Create and manage micro complaint timelines and execute microbiological investigations.
  • Collect water samples for external analysis and verify shelf life of finished products annually.
