Production Process Operative – Bellshill Dairy
Contract Type: Full-Time | Location: Bellshill | Salary: £12.94 per hour + premiums
Premium Pay Rates
- Saturday: 1.25x hourly rate
- Sunday: 1.5x hourly rate
- Public Holidays: 2x hourly rate
- Unsociable Hours (6pm – 4am): Additional 23%
Shift Pattern
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
- Back Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm
- Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am
About the Role
We are recruiting Production Process Operatives to join our Process Department at Bellshill Dairy, part of Müller Milk & Ingredients. This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of:
- Raw milk intake
- Fresh milk and cream processing
- Cream export reclaim area
- Chemical offload area
- Laboratory testing and reporting of processing results
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and record all relevant paperwork
- Sample and test raw products
- Load tankers
- Liaise with other production departments
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Operate equipment efficiently, focusing on asset care, output maximisation, waste reduction, and cost savings
- Perform quality assurance checks
- Undertake additional duties as required
Experience & Skills
- Experience in manufacturing or production (ideally in a food environment)
- Understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
