The predicted salary is between 2000 - 2800 £ per month.
The purpose of this role is to operate and run the designated plant, achieve daily operations targets and maintain GMP standards within the process department.
Responsibilities
- Delivering the daily production plan
- Operating plant/equipment and carrying out routine basic maintenance
- Achieving daily KPI targets
- Working with Key Operators to carry out start up procedures, ensuring good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout production
- Ensuring an effective hand over between shifts, remaining on line until relief takes over
- Monitoring product quality, highlighting non-conformance and taking appropriate corrective action
- Ensuring SIC and Quality information is accurate, complete and timely
- Completing all documentation, ensuring its up to date and available
- Training operators, ensuring competence to perform allocated jobs
- Leading by example encouraging appropriate behavioural standards in support of Company values and culture
- Complying with food safety requirements, effectively control CCPs and adhere to site quality procedures
- Maintaining Line/Area GMP standards looking to constantly improve
- Take reasonable care for the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others that may be affected by their acts or omissions
- To carry out any other duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
- Actively promote and comply with all Company Policies, Procedures and Values
Qualifications
- A proven mechanical aptitude
- Previous machine experience from within a fast moving production environment is desirable
- Right first time (produces product to the required standard minimizing finished goods waste)
- Experience with controlling material losses
- Confident with adherence to Standards (GMP)
- Experience with H&S Statistics (e.g. Accidents and Near Misses)
- Confident with teamwork & collaboration
- A flexible approach; able to adapt to changing daily production plans
- A good listener/communicator
- Able to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation skills
