As a Milk Supply Planner, you will be responsible for the management of daily raw milk and co-products balancing with a focus on achieving optimal costs in bulk liquid products transport whilst ensuring the dairies receive the agreed volumes and service levels of bulk liquid imports and exports. The role is within the Müller Milk and Ingredients (MMI) business and located at Skelmersdale with a hybrid working model - 3 days per week on site, and for a fixed term ending December 2026.
Your challenge for the Milk Supply Planner:
- Monitor and manage raw milk balances by milk type at daily and weekly levels.
- Provide detailed examination of historical data, investigate and understand anomalies and build into future plans.
- Provide detailed communication with accurate administration of hauliers and suppliers.
- Identify potential issues (such as surpluses and deficits of numerous products), identifying resolutions and reacting in a timely manner to address the issues.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers and customers to support the network in achieving optimal cost saving activities.
- Raise purchase and sales orders for external vendors and action invoice approvals.
Key skills & experience for the Milk Supply Planner:
- Previous experience in a Planning role, ideally in an FMCG environment, or transport planning.
- Good Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Demonstrable relationship building skills.
