Join us at Müller Hoddesdon Depot! We're offering a unique opportunity to join us as a Warehouse Operative and, after probation, move onto our Warehouse to Wheels Scheme to gain your Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence - fully funded.
What is the Scheme About?
Start your journey as a Warehouse Operative. Once you've successfully completed your probation period, we'll invest in you with structured training to achieve your Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence. From there, you'll have a clear progression route - with the opportunity to work towards Class 1 (LGV Cat C+E) as you build experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career in logistics with a company that truly invests in its people.
Step 1: Warehouse Operative
- Contract: Full Time / Permanent
- Pay: £12.71 per hour + premiums
- 1.5x Overtime
- 1.25x Saturday
- 1.5x Sunday
- 23% uplift for unsociable hours (6PM-4AM)
- Shifts: 5 out of 7 (including weekends)
Key Responsibilities
- Order picking using voice technology
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Stock rotation and date code checking
- Maintaining hygiene standards
- Supporting team training and communication
Step 2: Train for your Class 2 (LGV Cat C) licence
You'll follow a structured training programme (classroom plus practical learning) designed to build your skills safely, legally and compliantly - so you're confident and ready to move into an HGV driving role. Once qualified, your pay will reflect your new Class 2 role:
- Hourly rate: £15.83 - £26.01 (dependent on shift)
- Overtime: £17.80 per hour
Progression
After you've gained your Class 2 and you're established in the driver role, we'll support you to progress towards Class 1 (LGV Cat C+E) through further funded training.
How we support your journey
We'll guide you through each stage - from assessments to training and testing - so you gain your Class 2 (Cat C) and build the experience and confidence to succeed as a professional HGV driver. When you're ready, we'll also support your onward progression to Class 1 (Cat C+E). All training is fully funded by Müller, with dedicated support from our experienced team.
