We are looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Technician to join our team at Müller Milk & Ingredients in Bridgwater. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and improving a wide range of equipment and systems across the site.
We welcome applicants from either mechanical or electrical backgrounds, as well as those who are already multi-skilled. Whether your experience comes from manufacturing, the armed forces, or another sector, we value your expertise and transferable skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure equipment reliability
- Diagnose and resolve faults across a variety of systems and machinery
- Interpret technical drawings, including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
- Apply automation and control knowledge to support fault finding and resolution
- Complete maintenance tasks including preventative, condition-based, and corrective actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
- Relevant qualifications and hands-on experience in maintenance (mechanical, electrical, or both)
- Ability to work across a range of systems and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach
- Willingness to work on a rotating shift pattern
- Additional qualifications such as HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH, or experience with continuous improvement tools are beneficial but not essential.
4 on 4 off – rotating between days and nights (2 days, 2 nights)
