This is an exciting opportunity to join Müller Milk & Ingredients at our Bellshill site in an apprenticeship role as an Engineering Technician. You will study towards a recognised qualification, earn a competitive salary, develop new skills and gain invaluable experience in a supportive environment where we empower our employees to reach their full potential.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Asset management: keep manufacturing machinery maintained, manage processes, filling/packing and site cleaning operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, project management, tests and trial activities.
- Fault finding and quick action to meet food safety standards.
- Work as part of a team striving to achieve the highest quality products.
- Highlight concerns and ensure products or volumes meet agreed requirements and targets.
Technical Training
- Electrical principles and maintenance.
- Mechanical maintenance to keep the factories running efficiently.
- Automation.
Entry Requirements
- National 5s at band C or above in English and Maths, plus a science/technical subject.
- Clear passion for engineering.
- Ability to take ownership of own work.
- Self‑motivated and proactive approach to work and studies.
- Flexible with work hours upon completion, including weekends and night shifts.
Qualifications and Progression
- SVQ Level 2 PEO.
- National Certificate in Engineering Systems.
- SVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance.
- All 5 core skills (SCQF Level 5).
There is also the potential to progress onto a HNC in Engineered Systems if you display drive and enthusiasm.
