We are recruiting for Relief Shunter Drivers at our Bellshill Depot within the Müller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. This role is for holiday/sickness cover, therefore must be flexible to work any 5 out of 7 covering days/backs/nights/weekends.
Contract: Full Time / Permanent
Location: Müller Milk & Ingredients, Site 2, 3 Noremac Way, Bellshill, ML4 3NY
Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 covering days/backs/nights/weekends – role will be yard based
Hourly Rate: From £17.30 per hour to £28.42 per hour dependent on shift pattern (Plus £20 weekly supplement)
Overtime rate: £19.46 per hour
Key Skills & Experience:
- Terberg experience (mandatory)
- HGV Class 1 Licence (mandatory)
- Current CPC and digital driving card (mandatory)
- No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs)
- An effective team member who works well on their own initiative
- Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
- Self–motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable
- Must be comfortable with the physical nature of the role
Role & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate onsite bay movements ensuring all equipment is fully compliant
- Puts safety first and respects all other road users
- Ensures driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly
- Conduct regular checks on all vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet the necessary safety and compliance standards; if a vehicle or trailer is not compliant, de‑file to the workshop for repairs or maintenance
- Prioritise, assess, and control safety, health, and workplace risks; identify potential hazards and take preventive measures
