What you'll be doing:
This placement offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience. The Production Planning Intern will work alongside experienced planners to learn how customer demand is converted into clear, practical production plans. The role will support the team in balancing demand with production capacity, stock requirements, product shelf life, quality requirements and operational constraints.
The intern will gain practical experience across Production Planning and work with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics and Quality. Responsibilities will increase as their knowledge, capability and confidence develop.
Key tasks & responsibilities include:
Production Planning Support
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of daily and weekly production plans using planning tools.
Check planning information for accuracy and highlight errors, gaps or anything that does not look right.
Support planners when plans need to change because of demand changes, operational issues or production constraints.
Help keep planning information clear, accurate and up to date.
Learn how customer demand is balanced against factory capacity, stock requirements and operational limitations.
