We are looking for a Yard Operative to join our team and help maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our site. This role is vital to ensuring food safety, health & safety compliance, and operational efficiency.

Location: Bridgwater - TA6 6DF

Contract Type: Full time – Permanent (39 hours per week)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00

Salary: £12.37 per hour (Overtime rate 1.5 x base rate)

What you’ll do:

  • Keep external yard areas clean and hazard-free, including washing bays and designated zones.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively (e.g., pressure washers, hoses).
  • Carry out litter picking and waste removal promptly.
  • Complete daily safety walks and report any hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Record cleaning activities and communicate concerns to the Shift Lead.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in industrial or food production hygiene roles (preferred).
  • Knowledge of health & safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physically fit for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
