  • Building and maintaining a strong network of local agents, landowners, planning consultants, and professional contacts.
  • Sourcing off-market land opportunities and developing routes to acquisition.
  • Leading negotiations and securing land deals via option agreements, promotion agreements, or unconditional purchases.
  • Working closely with internal planning, technical, and legal teams to progress opportunities through acquisition and promotion.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed acquisition reports to senior leadership for review and sign-off.
  • Overseeing the transaction process through to legal completion, with responsibility for managing key stakeholders throughout.
  • Attending local authority meetings, networking events, and planning committee sessions as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced in land acquisition, with a successful track record of identifying and securing residential, care, or strategic land opportunities.
  • A confident negotiator, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Well-networked, ideally with strong local knowledge and contacts in your target region.
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful, with the ability to spot value where others don’t.
  • Self-driven, able to operate independently while contributing to wider team objectives.
  • Strategic in thinking, but commercially grounded with an eye on value and deliverability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in land acquisition, planning, property, or related disciplines.
  • Familiarity with UK planning policies, development viability, and legal structures for land deals.
  • Experience working with landowners, agents, and local planning authorities.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a profitable and ambitious property business with a strong reputation in land promotion.
  • Operate in a streamlined environment with fast decision-making and direct access to leadership.
  • Work with significant backing and funding available for new land investments.
  • Opportunity for progression based on performance and delivery.

  • 37.5-hour week – Full-time permanent role
