Job description: Technical Development Manager Full-Time UK Travel Required Hybrid Working We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Development Manager to join our team at Mller Milk and Ingredients. This role is crucial in providing technical direction and advice to our operations, R&D, and technical teams, ensuring the highest standards of product and process quality. Main Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise on major capital expenditure projects at our manufacturing facilities. Manage site operations for CIP improvements and new equipment commissioning. Lead technical aspects of process and product development, optimisation, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Process, and Quality teams to implement best practices. Continuously challenge and improve existing working practices and processes. Lead site compliance audits against group CIP standards. Create and deliver training materials within the subject area of expertise. Evaluate site data to provide direction and advice for informed business decisions. Promote identification, ownership, and resolution of problems to improve site and business performance. Key Requirements: Bachelors degree in Food Science or a related field, or equivalent vocational experience. Advanced knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, dairy processes, and product standards. Food hygiene and HACCP certifications (Level 4). Lead Assessor qualification. Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and problem-solving skills is desirable. Strong planning and organising skills, including project management. Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels. Ability to work with limited supervision and resolve issues independently.
