Contract: Full Time / Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 on 3 off - Friday - Monday (midnight start time) or Thursday - Sunday 11pm start time.
Pay Rate: From £17.30 per hour - £28.42 per hour dependent on shift pattern. Overtime rate: £19.46 per hour. Potential on target earning from £46,000 per annum (dependent on shift pattern).
We are currently recruiting for LGV Class 1 (C+E) Trunking Drivers to join our transport operation. This role involves A-to-B trunking movements between sites, with some manual handling of loaded and empty trollies where required. This is a great opportunity to join a professional, safety-focused operation, working with a modern and well-maintained fleet.
Role & Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently complete trunking movements between depots and customer sites
- Load, move and return trollies, ensuring they are handled safely and securely
- Carry out vehicle, trailer and equipment checks in line with legal and company requirements
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time and accurately
- Maintain high standards of road safety and professionalism at all times
- Complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation
- Report defects, hazards, or incidents in line with company procedures
- Work flexibly to support the wider transport operation when required
Key Skills & Experience
- HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 minor points on licence (no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements)
- Comfortable with the physical aspects of the role, including trolley handling
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Professional attitude as a representative of the business
