We are currently looking to recruit for an HGV Mechanic to join our Transport Department at our Glasgow Depot within our Muller Milk & Ingredients Distribution business. This is a great opportunity for an HGV Mechanic looking to work for a prestigious logistics company, servicing and repairing a modern well-maintained fleet of vehicles. The purpose of this role is to repair and maintain our HGV fleet to comply with legal and company standards.
Contract: Full Time / Permanent
Shift Patterns: two-week rotating rota, covering day and back shifts.
Rate of Pay: £20.84 per hour - £26.69 per hour (OTE £51k per annum)
Shift Premiums:
- Saturday - £22.45 per hour
- Sunday - £29.69 per hour
- Overtime / Bank Holiday - £29.69 per hour
- Unsociable (hours worked between 1800-0400) - £22.78 per hour
HGV Mechanic Responsibilities:
- To inspect and maintain our HGV fleet
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport to test centre
HGV Mechanic Key Skills & Experience:
- Qualifications required: City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
- Commercial experience on HGVs is essential
- Class C+E licence preferable but not essential
