Philpot Dairy Products Ltd part of Mller UK & Ireland group has a long history and experience in trading and marketing of bulk dairy products and ingredients from the UK as well as other international dairy manufacturers. Today, Philpot caters the needs of key customer accounts located across the globe from large multinational companies to smaller distributors. With over 90 years of experience, Philpot has become the partner of choice for functional and high end dairy ingredients. Philpot has embarked on an ambitious growth plan and is therefore recruiting an experienced International Trader to join their successful team. This role will contribute to the international business development activity of Philpot Dairy Products for a specific area or segment of customers in export destinations, adding value by growing sale numbers and profitability. International Trader – Key Responsibilities: Execute the commercial strategy to deliver the budgeted volumes and profit for the defined products, areas, customers and suppliers of Philpot Dairy Products. Manage a portfolio of existing key customers and prospects to generate new profitable business and create long term mutual value. Manage a portfolio of partner suppliers and expand the business by enhancing and broadening the scope of collaboration to create long-term mutual value. Oversee the execution of supply agreements to ensure customer and supplier satisfaction and fulfilment of contractual obligations. Generate new business leads with prospective customers and suppliers, perform market analysis, travel to prospects and attend trade fairs. Support the line manager and the BU with market information and reports to feed internal reports and business plans. Conduct relevant market analysis when required using external data. Work cross functionally with key stakeholders. International Trader – Key Skills and Experience: Essential: Fluent in English and Spanish (French would be desirable). Comfortable with regular worldwide travel. Degree education in a business discipline or equivalent 3-5 years experience in business to business sales or trading. Experience within the Food Ingredients sector is desirable. Export sales knowledge would be beneficial. Adaptable, self-starter, analytical, agile, negotiator, problem solver, entrepreneurial, team player. Able to find solutions, reorganise and approach complex situations. Proficient in IT, with a strong understanding of Microsoft programs, particularly Excel.
