We are recruiting for Class 1 LGV C+E Tanker Drivers at our Amesbury Depot within the Mller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. It takes a lot of talent and organisation to deliver around 30% of the fresh milk consumed in Britain every day. The Mller Milk & Ingredients Distribution network of depots are strategically located to allow us to be efficient in the job that we do and ensures that our milk gets from farm to fridge quicker and fresher.
Contract: Full Time / Permanent
Location: Amesbury Depot (SP4 7SZ)
Salary: £15.88 Per Hour plus premiums. Overtime paid at x1.125 basic rate, Saturday paid at x1.125 basic rate, Sunday paid at 1.5 basic rate. Additional 14.25% uplift of base rate for unsociable hours worked between 6PM - 4AM. Customary/Public Holidays paid at x1.5. Weekly Paid with planned transition to monthly pay over the course of 2025/2026.
Shift pattern: 4 on - 4 off and 5 out of 7 shift patterns available.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Collect and transport milk for farms to one of our regional manufacturing sites.
- Puts safety first and respects all other road users.
- Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly.
- Forward thinking, route checks for safety restrictions, planned road works and traffic to ensure your journey will be smooth and efficient.
- Highly professional in all situations as you are the interface between the business and our farmers.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable.
Key skills & experience:
- Relevant experience in Tanker Logistics desirable.
- An effective team member who works well on their own initiative.
- Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work.
- HGV Class 1 Licence (LGV Cat C+E).
- Current CPC and digital driving card.
- No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs).
- Newly qualified drivers are welcome, we will train and develop you to the necessary level.
- Must be comfortable with the physical nature of the role. Trolleys will be loaded and unloaded by the driver onto the vehicle.
