We are currently recruiting for a First Response Technician at Muller Manchester to provide quick response and technical support to optimise value creation, working within the Muller values and standards whilst striving to continuously improve.

Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights (7am-7pm/7pm-7am)

Location: Manchester

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • High level problem solving capability and facilitation skills
  • Constant recognition that the value creation is level 1 - First line support primary purpose is to support the front line teams
  • Coaching front line team members, enabling them to solve problems
  • Uses PDCA techniques to follow problems through to 100 year fix in real time
  • Working closely as ONE TEAM with Rapid Response Engineers
  • Immediate go, look, see the issue by visiting the workstation when called upon
  • Maintenance excellence / Asset care

Muller Responsibilities:

  • Works on active OE projects continuously
  • Looks for waste in everything that we do
  • Actively seeks out improvement opportunities within the workplace and converts to own OE projects
  • Owns and delivers OE initiatives and is recognised for these
  • Utilises opportunities to improve the way we do things
  • Collaboratively works with other team members to improve our business
  • Can demonstrate OE contribution through PDP process
  • Aware of how current performance impacts the bottom line
  • Health and safety of self and others
  • Ability to deliver on the job training (show and tell) to new colleagues

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous food manufacturing experience
  • Technical acumen/qualification
