Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern & Hours: 0700-1700 Monday to Friday
Pay: £20.60 per hour
What We’re Looking For
- Proven management or supervisory experience in a workshop or similar environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team, manage multiple priorities, and thrive under pressure.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards and compliance requirements.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Running the workshop efficiently - planning workloads, prioritising tasks, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Leading and motivating the team - providing guidance, approving holidays, and maintaining accurate records.
- Driving Health & Safety compliance - promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring standards are met.
- Managing trailer inspections and MOT processes - guaranteeing quality and compliance.
- Handling breakdowns and coordinating repairs during garage hours.
- Managing stock and parts - ordering, raising PO numbers, and keeping KPI sheets up to date.
- Conducting quality checks on inspections and repairs.
- Maintaining workshop standards - cleanliness, equipment calibration, and PPE compliance.
- Overseeing service paperwork and defect logs with precision.
