Job Overview Reporting to the workshop / fleet manger and based in our 7-bay maintenance facility at Culcavy, Hillsborough, Co.
Down, the successful applicants will conduct all aspects of planned and unplanned maintenance & inspections of a large fleet of curtain sided trailers and tractor units in a safe and efficient manner to ensure all trucks and trailers are safe, road worthy and legally compliant.
Role Routine maintenance, service and repair of HGV Trucks and Trailers Conduct safety Inspections and report any defects or issues identified Pre PSV inspection & preparation Call out to breakdowns, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
Work to strict deadlines and planned workload.
Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation.
React to changing situations to accommodate additional workload and reduce delays.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment within the workshop Follow all company health and safety procedures and use equipment and tools safely Report an recurring faults, safety concerns, or equipment issues to the workshop manager Support others team members and workshop staff when required to ensure operational efficiency Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a full comprehensive listing of activities, duties, and responsibilities.
Criteria Ideally hold an industry recognised qualification or 2 years minimum experience in a similar role Ability to identify faults and determine effective repairs Welding experience preferred HGV licence preferred but not essential.

Effective communication skills & literacy skills Flexible approach to working hours in a dynamic environment.
Ability to work as part of a team.
