Junior Transport Planner Based at Dromore Head Office Hours: Day Shift Company Overview Mulgrew Haulage Ltd established in 1973 provide Haulage and Warehousing services operating an extensive fleet of modern trucks and curtain side trailers delivering unit loads throughout Ireland and the UK. Servicing the food, drink, and packaging industries we pride ourselves on the service given to our many blue-chip customers. With consistent organic growth of 10% annually and a trailer fleet exceeding 1200, we are looking to enhance and strengthen our existingtraffic team. It Is our goal to continually provide and maintain the highest possible standards within our industry for others to follow. This is an excellent opportunity for the candidate to develop and progress their career with a highly professional and customer focused company within the Transport and Logistics sector. Job Overview We are seeking a Junior Transport Planner to join our existing traffic team at our Head Office in Dromore to assist the planners with customers collections and deliveries in the most cost effective / efficient manner whilst maximising vehicle utilisation to meet the companies and customers requirements in a managed and safe environment. Duties The Junior Transport Planner will be responsible for: Assisting in the planning of routes to maximize vehicle utilisation Maintain customer KPI reports. Issue drivers with clear instructions Monitor drivers hours to ensure compliance with legislation Ensure all drivers brief and de-brief completed daily Maintain live Traffic Management System Monitor Vehicle movements to reduce and report delays Assist Customer Services team to manage customer queries and keep them informed & updated of all changes Build and maintain strong relationships with customers Book and check off shipping Experience Previous experience in road haulage or transport planning is essential (2 years) Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and excel Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Must be a Positive & Customer focused individual Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholder Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform in a dynamic & pressurised environment.
