Role Overview:
As a School Library and Literacy Assistant, you will support the development of students' reading skills and promote a love of literature within the school community. You will assist with managing library resources, helping students find materials, running literacy activities, and supporting teachers in delivering engaging literacy programs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- No previous experience required; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with children aged 11-14 (Key Stage 3)
- Basic organisational skills to help manage library stock effectively
- A genuine interest in promoting reading and literacy among young people
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
