Overview
Mulberry House Residential Home is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join their Kitchen Team. This position is for a minimum of 36 hours per week, split over three 12 hour shifts. The role of the kitchen assistant is to be a part of the kitchen team under the instruction of the kitchen manager and the cook. You will work to create inspiring mealtimes for Residents at the home catering to all preferences and dietary requirements. You will need to enjoy interacting and communicating with the elderly. You will assist with meeting and maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the Kitchen/ storage areas and all kitchen equipment. All regulations for food health and hygiene must be adhered to at all times.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the kitchen team under the instruction of the kitchen manager and the cook.
- Help create inspiring mealtimes for Residents, catering to all preferences and dietary requirements.
- Interact and communicate with the elderly.
- Assist with meeting and maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the Kitchen/storage areas and all kitchen equipment.
- Adhere to all regulations for food health and hygiene at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality/catering is beneficial
- Willing to learn and be trained
- Presentable appearance
- Good level of English
- A good team worker
- Honest and kind person who can work under pressure
- Kitchen/Porter: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen: 1 year (preferred)
