With a contemporary take on British heritage and a focus on responsible craft, our ambition is to create progressive luxury. Sustainability has been part of the Mulberry ethos since the brand's inception; in recognition of our purpose-driven approach, in 2024 we proudly achieved B Corp Certification. Today, we are a global brand, but our values remain the same; we are committed to improving our impact on people and the planet. If these are values you share, we would love you to join our team.

Scope of the Role: You will partner with the international markets and add value and support through high-level analysis, offering insights on performance and supporting the respective directors in the markets and the Commercial team. You will also be responsible for supporting, as part of the wider Commercial Finance team, the management of the budget and forecasting process and respective contribution into the 5YP. This will be in addition to revenue reporting, month-end reporting, and ad hoc commercial analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely weekly/monthly reporting such as the weekly trade reports, resolving discrepancies when they arise and providing commentary on trade performance to be shared with the wider business.
  • Represent finance alongside your team at weekly trade calls to understand, challenge, and provide commentary on digital trade performance.
  • Prepare and review regional monthly P&Ls, including monthly review meetings delivering insights on performance to budget, reforecast, and prior year.
  • Support your team on scenario modelling on any investments or key projects across the international markets.
  • Ownership of capital expenditure tracking and forecasting of key investments and projects within the regions.
  • Support with preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts including the accuracy, consistency, and management of data within Hyperion software.
  • Support in the ownership of the Group monthly reporting including analysis and presentation.
  • Support in ownership of the 5YP process, modelling, analysis, and delivery.
  • Assist your team with ad-hoc analysis relating to growth projects and management requests.

Team: Participate in team meetings, chairing at least once a week. Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders.

Culture: Embrace and demonstrate the Mulberry values and behaviours: honesty, dynamism, and a community-oriented spirit. Support Mulberry to deliver an inclusive culture, through behaving in a way that is open-minded and respectful towards others, and understanding that your views, opinions, and experiences may not always be shared by your colleagues. Act as an ambassador for Mulberry and communicate positively about the brand.

Sustainability: As a certified B Corp business, it is important to incorporate environmentally responsible practices into your work wherever possible. Support the businesses ‘Five C’s’ strategy in addressing and improving Climate, Cultivation, Craft, Culture and Circularity. Promote a greener, more sustainable future. Support to foster an environment where diversity is embraced and all individuals feel valued, respected and included. Promote equity, empathy and understanding and demonstrate this commitment within your internal and external communities.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots, macros etc) and competent user of other Microsoft programmes such as Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail with excellent analytical and numerical skills.

  • Shows adaptability and can modify own behaviour and adopt a different style or approach to reach a goal enthusiastically and looking for more efficient ways of doing things.
