We are seeking an experienced Clinical Administrator with SystmOne and NHS claims experience looking to progress their career in General Practice. You will have a deep understanding of NHS primary care, SystmOne searches, audits and claims processes.
Main duties of the job
- Apply your knowledge of NHS reimbursement mechanisms to ensure QOF, IIF, FP34, flu, covid and other claims achieve the maximum income by producing relevant audits and searches in SystmOne.
- Ensure all work complies with NHS regulations, Data Protection regulations and best practices.
- Work with GP Partners to provide any required audits.
- Produce chronic recall lists for team to contact and ensure up to date Asthma / COPD search and produce list of patients and recall.
- Ensure all patient recalls are one visit.
- Update the Palliative care register for gold standard meetings.
- Retinal screening check new referrals / run searches.
- Disease registers check for new patients who need adding to register.
- Smears run searches and update.
- Remain up to date with PCN work by attending meetings as required re chronic / frailty work etc.
- Other work as required ensuring maximum income is achieved and is dependent upon NHS, ICB and GP Partners requirements.

Mulberry Street Medical Practice is a PMS Training Practice working from Pudsey Health Centre in the centre of Pudsey, a busy market town situated in West Leeds between Leeds & Bradford. We have a patient list size of approximately 7600 with a stable population. Part of West Leeds Primary Care Network (PCN) with attached staff (working in the practice on behalf of the practice and the PCN) we offer a range of services such as Physio, Occupational Therapist, Social Prescribing, Pharmacists, Paramedics etc. The Practice consistently has a high Quality Achievement and was rated Good by the Care Quality Commission.
Job responsibilities
- Support practice with administration, templates, read codes, searches, invites, claims, audits for various clinical schemes, QOF, prescribing schemes, quality improvement schemes, enhanced services, imms, smears.
- Keep clinical staff, Partners and Practice Manager up to date with changes.
- Ensure all claims are submitted in adequate time via CQRS, online etc.
- Update the Practice Manager of all claims / income.
- Minor surgery claim prepare and submit.
- QOF run searches and ensure targets and maximum income achieved.
- Produce patient information leaflets and posters and run medicine awareness projects throughout the year.
- Assist Partners where appropriate with monitoring and management of their prescribing budgets.
- Prepare evidence-based resources and information to support the team and all other relevant health professionals in the implementation of rational cost-effective prescribing.
- Help plan, develop and support the introduction of new working processes within the practice to optimise the quality of clinical services including prescribing.

Person Specification
- Previous experience in an NHS GP practice.
- Clinical knowledge of QOF, IIF and other NHSE and ICB targets.
- Strong hands-on working knowledge of SystmOne including search writing, read codes etc.
- Highly organised and comfortable working independently while maintaining strong team collaboration.
- Self-motivated with ability to manage time effectively and reliably deliver on commitments.
