Sales Engineer UK-based (Hybrid, 50% travel) £45,000 – £55,000 + Bonus + Benefits Want to sell the tech that keeps structures standing? Ever wondered what ensures skyscrapers don’t sink, tunnels stay safe, or offshore wind farms stay put? That’s where this role comes in. The company behind this position pioneered advanced soil testing technology more than 30 years ago – and today, its systems underpin major geotechnical and civil engineering projects worldwide. We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to drive UK sales and support European agents, selling sophisticated laboratory testing systems (£30K–£150K) to universities, research institutions, and commercial laboratories that value precision and reliability. What You’ll Do * Manage the full sales cycle across the UK and Europe — from lead generation to close. * Build and nurture long-term relationships with laboratory and engineering clients. * Support international sales agents through training, joint visits, and technical guidance. * Represent the company at industry exhibitions and trade shows. * Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver tailored, consultative solutions. What We’re Looking For * 5+ years’ experience selling complex or technical equipment to laboratories or industrial clients. * Strong consultative sales skills and ability to manage long (6–18 month) sales cycles. * Confident working with technical professionals and decision-making committees. * Interest in engineering, geotechnical, or scientific equipment. * Willingness to travel up to 50% across the UK and occasionally Europe.
