We are recruiting for an experienced and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to join a leading technology business specialising in premium visual display and imaging solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships and driving profitable sales growth through both end users and channel partners.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing strategic sales plans and exceeding ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and secure new business opportunities within your assigned market sector.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets through proactive business development.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities, managing them through to successful completion.
- Develop and implement market-specific sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Build long-term relationships with customers, partners and key decision-makers.
- Deliver professional sales presentations, product demonstrations and customer meetings.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity and opportunity forecasting.
- Produce weekly and monthly sales forecasts and contribute to business planning activities.
- Attend customer meetings, exhibitions, networking events and industry conferences.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities.
- Work closely with Sales Development and Marketing to generate and convert new leads.
- Provide customer feedback and market intelligence to support future business strategy.
- Ensure all activities are completed in line with company policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Proven success in a Business Development, Account Management or Technical Sales role within IT hardware, AV or technology solutions.
- Experience selling into Healthcare, Enterprise, Creative or similar commercial sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to present solution-based sales proposals.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident presenting to customers at all levels, including senior decision-makers.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Experience using CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, resilient and capable of working independently while contributing to wider team objectives.
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK.
