Group Financial Accountant\\n\\nLocation: Basingstoke\\n\\nSalary: £45,000\\n\\nHybrid\\n\\nMy client is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage and consolidate the financial reporting of a group of companies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards. The role supports strategic decision-making through accurate reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.\\n\\nKey responsibilities:\\n\\nAssist the Group Financial Controller in the consolidation of the annual statutory accounts, including consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations, other yearend adjustments and schedules to support.\\n\\nEnsure appropriate accounting policies are being applied and follow relevant UK GAAP standards.\\n\\nMonitor changes in accounting standards and implement necessary updates.\\n\\nAssist with the external audits and the team in answering audit queries.\\n\\nProduce the annual statutory accounts for all non-audit trading companies, and ensure dormant accounts are produced and filed in a timely manner.\\n\\nAssist in the calculations of business combinations, and goodwill on acquisitions.\\n\\nProduce the monthly management accounts for the holding companies and overview of monthly management accounts reporting on some trading entities.\\n\\nEnsure Group Intercompany schedules are up to date and any discrepancies resolved.\\n\\nOther ad-hoc tasks as required, including system development.\\n\\nSkills:\\n\\nQualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)\\n\\nExperience in preparation of statutory accounts\\n\\nPositive can-do attitude\\n\\nStrong communication skills\\n\\nComprehensive accountancy knowledge\\n\\nGreat attention to detail\\n\\nAbility to work with sensitive information\\n\\nUK Driving Licence required\\n\\nBenefits:\\n\\n21 days holiday – increasing to 22 days after 3 years and to 25 days after 5 years\\n\\nExtra day off for your birthday\\n\\nBuy holiday scheme\\n\\nEmployee Assistance Programme\\n\\nFree onsite parking\\n\\nEnhanced company sick pay\\n\\nDiscounted retail vouchers\\n\\nReduced gym membership\\n\\nAnnual salary review\\n\\nSCG mobile benefit\\n\\nEmployee referral bonus\\n\\nOnsite canteen offering free refreshments
