Customer Support Consultant – Accountancy
Location: Wokingham
Salary: Up to £24,800
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing fintech software company, supporting accountancy customers who use their software. You’ll be using your accounting knowledge to help customers resolve queries, while also working closely with the wider support team and helping to develop junior team members.
The role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and using their accounting knowledge in a more customer-focused and technology-driven environment.
A few key areas of the role include:
- Providing second-line support to accountancy customers via telephone and email
- Acting as a subject matter expert on accounting and the company’s software
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
- Helping develop training materials, guides and customer resources
- Working with internal teams on product improvements, testing and system updates
- Monitoring support performance and helping improve the overall customer experience
They’re looking for someone with:
- A degree in Accountancy or a related subject
- At least 6 months’ customer service experience
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements and double-entry bookkeeping
- An understanding of UK tax and self-assessment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- An interest in software and technology
