The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in bringing our RTW collections to life, owning the end-to-end production journey while building resilient, responsible supply chains rooted in quality, transparency and long‑term relationships. Working closely with our creative, technical and supply partners, the role ensures each product meets our standards of craftsmanship, ethics and sustainability, delivered on time and to plan.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the seasonal Production Time & Action calendar, ensuring key milestones are clearly communicated and met.
  • Lead all production orders and re-orders, from PO approval through to inbound delivery, with a clear focus on accuracy, quality and timely execution.
  • Partner closely with the Logistics team to plan deliveries, organise supplier pick‑ups and maintain smooth inbound flows.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks to delivery, quality or cost, taking decisive action to protect the business.
  • Shape and deliver the strategic planning of the RTW supply chain, balancing creativity, capacity, cost and capability.
  • Source, onboard and nurture long‑term relationships with manufacturers and vendors across all RTW categories.
  • Conduct regular supply chain reviews and identify new manufacturing partners aligned with Mulberry’s standards for quality, price, minimums and country of origin.
  • Lead negotiations on lead times, minimums and commercial terms, resolving challenges collaboratively and transparently.
  • Manage capacity planning with suppliers, including advance capacity and raw material pre‑booking.
  • Lead the industrialisation of RTW collections, working hand‑in‑hand with Product Development and Technical teams to ensure each style is fit for production without compromising design intent.
  • Support the sourcing and procurement of labels, swing tags and packaging materials where required.

Quality, Systems & Ways of Working

  • Own Quality Control processes across internal and external partners, including all external testing requirements.
  • Set up and manage the production environment within PLM, ensuring full traceability and alignment with Mulberry’s B Corp commitments.
  • Champion best practices across the supply base, communicating seasonal or process updates through SOPs, including contractual, packing and labelling changes.
  • Lead, develop and mentor team members, setting clear expectations and supporting growth.
  • Conduct regular appraisals and performance reviews, agreeing SMART quarterly goals and encouraging long‑term development.

Culture

  • Understand and demonstrate the Mulberry employee values and behaviours: Be Bold, Be Imaginative, Be Open, Be Responsible.

  • Act as an ambassador for Mulberry and communicate positively about the brand.

  • As a certified B Corp, we are committed to using business as a force for good. You’ll be encouraged to incorporate environmentally and socially responsible practices into your work, supporting our Made to Last strategy across Climate, Circularity, and Community.
  • Help foster a culture where diversity is celebrated and every individual feels valued, respected, and included. Champion equity, empathy, and understanding in all interactions – internally and externally.

  • Extensive experience in a production role, ideally within premium or luxury brand.
  • A strong track record of working with British mills and factories.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain management, production processes and industrialisation.
  • A natural communicator who builds trusted relationships across teams and with external partners.
  • Strong commercial awareness with proven costing and negotiation skills.
