The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 ÂŁ per year.
We are looking for an experienced full-time Paraplanner / Financial Planning Support Executive to work in partnership with a Chartered Financial Planner and other members of the team to provide advice and service to HNW clients.
Providing support to the Financial Planner in the following key areas:
- Tax Planning (ISA, pension contributions, CGT planning)
- Estate Planning (inheritance tax, trust planning)
- Asset Allocation (review, compare, rebalance)
- Ongoing Portfolio Reviews
Responsibilities include:
- Attending client meetings alongside senior members of the team and ensuring meeting notes are captured.
- Being aware of the current status regarding every client within the allocated client list and proactively ensuring that all necessary actions are completed promptly.
- Undertaking research and analysing products/services that are appropriate for each individual client.
- Drawing up recommendation reports and investment strategies for review by the Financial Planner.
- Taking primary responsibility to ensure that recommendations are fully implemented in a timely manner.
- Obtaining information relating to a clientsâ existing plans.
- Analysing clientsâ existing position and making recommendations to the Financial Planner.
- Supporting the Financial Planner by conducting research on products and helping find solutions.
- Conducting cash-flow analysis.
- Preparing pre-meeting materials, including comparisons of alternative solutions, supporting material, pre-population of forms and suitability reports.
- Preparing suitability letters, writing reports and recommendations.
- Acting as the first point of contact for client queries.
- Completing technical calculations for both pensions and investments.
- Preparing business submissions.
- Instinctively providing excellent standards of client service.
- Arranging for plans to be submitted to provider companies.
- Delivering relevant client engagement material leading up to advice (Pre-advice Support) including PowerPoint presentations and summaries of existing policies.
- Providing advice documentation including reports, suitability letters and FCA required KIIDs/Personal Illustrations etc. (Advice Support).
- Leading the processing of advice, once approved by the client (Post-advice Support).
- Keeping the relevant Financial Planners/Directors informed of any/all developments relating to the processing of client advice.
- Chasing other members of the team as well as third parties, to ensure action plans are fully completed on time and in a compliant manner.
- Managing client files and using internal data management systems to ensure client records are kept to highest levels of detail/accuracy, in a timely manner, and in keeping with FCA standards.
- Driving the highest standards of the Firmâs data management.
The Candidate
Essential skills, experience and qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of previous paraplanning experience (including research, recommendations and reports) within a fast-paced wealth management/IFA environment.
- Level 4 diploma in financial planning/ DipPFS Qualified.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with investments.
- High level of analytical capability.
- Ability to write suitability reports and all forms of general communication with accuracy.
- Good overall business knowledge.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to create a positive impression with clients.
- Confidence to chase advisers as necessary and to demand quality service from external providers, to ensure that all allocated tasks are completed within a reasonable timeframe.
- Resilience, ability to cope with a high pace of work, fast pace of work and a dynamic environment.
- Ability to interact with high fliers and high net worth individuals in a confident, professional and natural manner.
- Graduate level or equivalent through experience.
Desirable experience and qualifications:
- Chartered Status attained or being worked towards (one CII âAFâ qualification to be attained each calendar year).
- Familiarity with platforms (for instance AJ Bell, Intelliflo).
- Solid knowledge of the key financial products and solutions, including pensions, ISAs, SSAS & SIPP, trusts.
- Experience working in a âWhole of Marketâ firm.
