We are looking for an experienced Hair Stylist with a minimum of three years’ professional salon experience who is confident working independently while also supporting the salon owner during busy periods.
The successful candidate will be passionate about hair, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering an exceptional experience for every client.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service from consultation through to the finished result.
- Welcome clients professionally and create a warm, friendly environment.
- Carry out thorough client consultations.
- Perform professional haircuts.
- Wash, blow dry and finish hair to a high standard.
- Style straight, wavy, curly and textured hair confidently.
- Perform silk presses.
- Carry out keratin treatments.
- Apply root colours, full-head colours and toners.
- Confidently perform simple colour services independently.
- Assist the salon owner with advanced colour applications when required.
- Prepare colour bowls and foils.
- Shampoo clients and assist with treatments.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional workstation throughout the day.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the salon.
- Recommend professional home-care products where appropriate.
- Uphold the premium standards and reputation of Mullax Hair.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ salon experience.
- NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing (minimum).
- Experience working with Afro, curly, European and Asian hair textures.
- Confidence in cutting, styling and finishing hair.
- Experience with root colours, toners and basic colour application.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Fluent spoken English.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Two professional references covering at least the previous three years.
