We are recruiting a Head Chef at Muiño, one of Bristol's best rated tapas bars as our Head Chef, Ben, is leaving after a 4 year stint. The role is full time, 4 days (around 45 hours) per week with every 3rd weekend and every Sunday off.
The person we are looking for will:
- have strong leadership skills and lead from the front
- have good management skills in terms of maintaining a good food GP, food safety and staff happiness
- be strong in food service and calm running a busy shift
Creativity is a plus (our food is Mediterranean with nods to North Africa and the Middle East) but we have a Muiño recipe book full of beautiful dishes which will be used and served whilst the new Head Chef settles in. The kitchen is fairly small and the kitchen team comprises 3 full time chefs and a full time kp with 2 chefs and a kp on shift every day.
Salary is up to £37,500 for the right candidate with a further £5,000 in service charge. We will be conducting interviews over the coming weeks followed by a paid trial shift for the best candidates. We look forward to hearing from you.
