Position Overview

MUFG is seeking two experienced Operational Resilience Vice Presidents to join the London‑based Operations Office for EMEA. In these pivotal roles you will shape and deliver resilience standards across a complex, multi‑jurisdictional environment, ensuring that MUFG remains at the forefront of regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

What you’ll do

  • Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the Operational Resilience standards framework, ensuring alignment with multi‑jurisdictional regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
  • Own and maintain identification and mapping of Important Business Services (IBS) and Critical or Important Functions (CIFs), ensuring consistency, traceability, and regulatory alignment across all relevant entities.
  • Contribute to the calibration and periodic review of impact tolerances by translating regulatory expectations into practical, measurable metrics for business continuity.
  • Translate FCA/PRA, DORA, and Middle East regulatory requirements into clear, actionable standards that support business units and second line teams.
  • Support the definition and maintenance of technology resilience and Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) standards to cover operational risks in line with broader resilience objectives.
  • Maintain and enhance assigned components of the scenario library, supporting credible assurance activities and regulator‑aligned testing initiatives.
  • Engage stakeholders across Assurance & Testing, Crisis Management, Business teams, and other functions to embed resilience standards throughout the organisation.
  • Assist the Head of Operational Resilience with committee work such as the Oversight Committee or Practitioners Forum.
  • Contribute to performance management within the Operational Resilience team, ensuring compliance with governance policies and supporting short‑ and medium‑term objectives within budget.
  • Analyse regional reporting arrangements, identify improvement areas, report issues, develop staff training programmes, and provide regular progress updates.

What you bring

  • Demonstrable experience in developing or maintaining operational resilience frameworks within financial services or similarly regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of UK (FCA/PRA), EU (DORA), and Middle Eastern regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear policies or standards for practical implementation.
  • Experience managing or supporting TPRM processes within an operational resilience context.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risk reporting arrangements and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels, including first line, second line, committees, regulators, and auditors.
  • Track record of delivering training or awareness programmes related to operational resilience or risk management.
  • Collaboration skills to work cross‑functionally and build positive relationships across lines of defence.
  • Experience contributing to governance deliverables or influencing business strategy through policy implementation.
  • Commitment to staying updated with regulatory changes affecting operational resilience frameworks.
