Overview
In this role you will lead and architect enterprise messaging and collaboration initiatives for MUFG, focusing on secure, modern, user-centric platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimise Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Intune, ensuring reliability and compliance. The position offers exposure to BAU and large-scale transformation programs across 15+ EMEA locations. You will influence strategy and drive modernization in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as technical lead for messaging, collaboration, and mobility projects, delivering on time and to high quality
- Design, engineering, and implement collaboration platforms (Exchange, Microsoft 365, Intune)
- Provide technical direction and oversight during design, migration, and modernization projects
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders for governance and delivery
- Design and maintain Exchange On-Prem and Exchange Online environments
- Develop and manage hybrid configurations and migration strategies
- Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Compliance Centre)
- Implement and maintain email security controls (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, anti-spam, DLP, ATP)
- Ensure service reliability, scalability, performance, and compliance across messaging platforms
- Provide Tier-3 support and escalation for complex issues
- Deliver engineering-level implementation and delivery in transformation programs
- Maintain documentation, diagrams, and technical standards for continuity and governance
- Collaborate with security, networking, and integration teams
- Contribute to strategic roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- 5-10 years in enterprise IT infrastructure, messaging, or collaboration
- Proven lead on Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365 and Intune implementations and migrations
- Experience with large-scale Exchange Hybrid and Microsoft 365 environments
- Tier-3 technical support experience and act as technical authority
- Strong project planning, execution and stakeholder management
- Hands-on security, compliance, and governance in Microsoft 365 (DLP, retention, conditional access)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Leadership in incident, problem, and change management
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Compliance Centre)
- Expert knowledge of Exchange Server 2016/2019 administration
- Hybrid deployments and migrations (Exchange Online)
