Overview

As a Digital Workplace Engineer you will lead the design, delivery and ongoing evolution of MUFG’s Digital Workplace across cloud-first and laptop-first strategies. You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Security and Architecture to deliver secure, scalable, user-centric solutions for thousands of users across multiple EMEA locations. You will drive transformation programs, improve user experience and align workplace technologies with security and governance standards. This is a hands-on leadership role in a large enterprise that values innovation, collaboration and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain enterprise Digital Workplace solutions aligned with cloud-first, laptop-first strategy
  • Engineer and support Microsoft Intune for endpoint management
  • Design and implement Windows Autopilot deployment solutions
  • Manage endpoint configuration profiles, compliance policies and security baselines
  • Support Microsoft Entra ID identity and device management services
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services related to Digital Workplace
  • Engineer secure endpoint configurations following Microsoft best practices
  • Support Windows 11 Enterprise endpoint engineering
  • Assist with Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop environments
  • Manage endpoint lifecycle including provisioning, configuration and retirement
  • Maintain endpoint security posture via compliance monitoring/remediation
  • Support application deployment using Microsoft Intune and modern app management
  • Design and maintain Conditional Access policies
  • Implement Zero Trust across endpoints and identity services
  • Support MFA solutions
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security teams to improve endpoint security
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and governance
  • Provide technical leadership across Digital Workplace transformation programmes
  • Produce High Level Designs and Low Level Designs and implementation documentation
  • Deliver technical workstreams and participate in planning, implementation and handover
  • Support technology evaluations, proofs of concept and pilot deployments
  • Contribute to Digital Workplace strategy and roadmap
  • Provide 3rd line support and manage complex incidents
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
  • Support ITIL-based Incident, Problem and Change Management
  • Identify opportunities for automation and develop PowerShell scripts
  • Drive continual service improvement and end-user experience enhancements
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and vendors
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Security and Project Management teams
  • Support governance and engineering standards

Key requirements

  • Senior Digital Workplace/End User Computing or Endpoint Engineering experience in a large enterprise
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 in enterprise environments
  • Proven experience managing Windows 11 endpoints with Intune, Autopilot and Entra ID
  • Experience designing Conditional Access policies and modern identity solutions
  • Experience delivering Digital Workplace transformation programmes and cloud-first migrations
  • Strong experience in endpoint security, device compliance and Zero Trust initiatives
  • Experience producing HLDs/LLDs and operational documentation
  • 3rd line technical support for complex endpoint/identity issues
  • Root cause analysis, troubleshooting and problem management in enterprise settings
  • Collaboration with Architecture, Cyber Security, Infrastructure and Project teams
  • ITIL-based Incident, Problem and Change Management experience
  • Mentoring junior engineers and acting as a SME
  • Experience in regulated environments with focus on security, governance and compliance
