In this role you will design, deliver, and support advanced Generative AI solutions within MUFG’s regulated financial services environment. You’ll work with DX&T and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust designs, explore RAG architectures, and drive responsible AI adoption at scale across EMEA. You’ll operate within MUFG’s SDLC and governance frameworks, delivering high‑quality AI capabilities that support digital transformation and business value. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into technical designs
- Investigate and assess emerging technologies (e.g., RAG architectures) for strategic fit
- Work with Digital Transformation teams to prioritise opportunities and define success metrics
- Evaluate models and platforms, including cost, risk, and long‑term supportability
- Follow SDLC, governance, and change management processes to ensure release readiness
- Provide L1–L3 support for AI services and maintain operational excellence
- Track outcomes, costs, and ROI using evidence‑based approaches
- Ensure adherence to security, privacy, data governance, and regulatory controls
- Promote inclusivity and knowledge sharing within the team
- Identify and champion best practices in AI, especially RAG and agentic systems
- Collaborate across departments to share expertise and improve ways of working
Key requirements
- Proven delivery experience in regulated environments (financial services)
- Hands‑on deployment of custom Generative AI solutions on Azure or AWS
- Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases; prompt engineering
- Strong governance, security, privacy, and data‑governance understanding
- Excellent communication across technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph and Python for scalable AI apps
- Experience providing 1st–3rd line support across multiple business areas
- Knowledge of ML techniques including predictive analytics or agentic AI; LLMOps knowledge
- Degree‑educated in Computer Science or Data Science or equivalent practical experience
- Effective communication across multidisciplinary audiences
