MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Specifically, you have accountability for the following named department: Global Blended Finance - GBF.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning, Strategy Development and Execution - Structurer
- Responsible for contributing to the successful execution of departmental strategy - in line with the regional business objectives, international business objectives and entity requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that your day-to-day activities are aligned to the overall departmental business strategy for your product/domain.
- Responsible for adhering to your departmental mandates.
- Responsible for managing and monitoring your departmental/applicable books risks and associated controls.
- Responsible for conducting business in line with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing good working relationships between the relevant Sales and Trading department and stakeholders.
- Responsible for working in partnership with broader GM, GCIB and JCIB teams to develop the business globally.
- Responsible for managing existing positions, including covenant management, facilitating agent functions, payment flows, and managing the process of amendments and waivers.
- Responsible for understanding your product set, the expectations for success and the client base.
- Responsible for providing MUFG institutional investors and corporate clients with cross asset tailored, Blended Finance structured solutions.
- Responsible for developing, promoting and expanding the Blended Finance structured solutions product offering.
- Responsible for structuring, trading, underwriting and distributing products to the approved client set.
- Responsible for working in conjunction with the international business and broader MUFG group entities to promote the Blended Finance product.
Risk Management
- Responsible for identifying, monitoring and taking actions regarding the risk being run across your product/domain.
- Responsible for pricing accurately all new transactions and all risk positions.
- Responsible for the management of all relevant risks within the Firm’s risk appetite.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance within approved risk limits for your department.
- Responsible for protecting and enhancing the Firm’s reputation in all activities.
Franchise Development
- Responsible for delivering and growing a sustainable, client-focussed, flow-oriented business.
- Responsible for maximising profitability from leveraging and enhancing the Group’s customer franchise.
- Responsible for working in partnership with Sales, Trading and Research in MUS International.
Controls and Compliance
- Responsible for ensuring the Company’s compliance with internal risk and compliance requirements.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-3 years relevant experience in a Financial Institution.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced understanding of a variety of financial instruments, including loans, bonds, complex credit and derivatives.
- Advanced cashflow modelling capabilities.
Education / Qualifications
Higher degree with quantitative focus or equivalent work experience.
