  • Identify irregularities or inefficiencies in operation flows and work collaboratively with teams to standardise processes wherever possible.
  • Act as the primary contact for any concerns regarding services provided by EMEA Operations or outsourced/offshored parties, ensuring prompt resolution through empathetic communication.
  • Promote standardisation and centralisation initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement and obtaining agreement from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement process improvements between EMEA offices by gathering materials, analysing current systems, designing future models, and creating execution plans with your line manager.
  • Perform tasks according to agreed plans within required timelines to contribute towards achieving overall project goals while managing progress, issues, risks, and providing timely status updates.
  • Support team members in delivering planned outputs by offering guidance and occasionally carrying out tasks yourself when necessary to foster communal success.
  • Contribute actively to global offshoring/outsourcing initiatives by supporting team members on specific project tasks and collaborating with MUFG’s captive centre in India (MGS) for effective management of offshored functions.
  • Maintain entity-neutral responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc by following regulatory requirements and escalating conflicts of interest appropriately.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in back office operations within financial services environments enables you to understand complex operational flows and contribute effectively to optimisation projects.
  • Proven project management office experience equips you with the skills needed to manage multiple priorities while supporting team members through collaborative efforts.
  • Strong issue-solving abilities allow you to address challenges promptly using considerate communication techniques that foster trust among stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills help you build nurturing relationships across EMEA offices by sharing information transparently and responding sensitively to concerns.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) at an intermediate level ensures you can create detailed reports and analyse data accurately for decision-making purposes.
  • Experience creating and presenting materials in stakeholder forums (PowerPoint) demonstrates your capacity for clear communication that supports communal understanding.
  • A high degree of accuracy combined with exceptional attention to detail means your work consistently meets rigorous standards required by regulatory frameworks.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills enable you to connect effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds while promoting inclusivity.
  • Ability to recognise the need for change coupled with generating new ideas shows your enthusiasm for continuous improvement within supportive leadership structures.
  • Data/business analysis skills are preferred as they enhance your capability to interpret operational trends and recommend actionable solutions.
