MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Head of Digital Workplace is accountable for defining and executing the Digital Workplace strategy, managing a multitude of digital workplace products to ensure the MUFG business and its end users receive cutting edge tools and technologies that enhance productivity, collaboration and agility. The role holder will collaborate with colleagues in EMEA and across the globe to transform the end user compute and endpoint strategy, modernise current collaboration tools and to enhance the employee experience of the working environment. The role holder will lead the strategic direction, implementation, management and support of these critical digital workplace products to optimise solutions including the performance and associated costs whilst ensuring reliable and secure digital workplace platforms that meet the growing needs of a diverse workforce.
The role holder will work with the Head of Digital Engineering Services and Solutions Department Head to deliver transformation through a reliable, robust, sustainable, scalable and efficient operating model by leveraging best practices. The role holder will be accountable for launching and promoting Digital Workplace offerings to MUFG business lines including communications, education and service readiness. They will own and lead the investment planning of Digital Workplace related projects and programmes measuring the effectiveness of these services delivered. The role holder will own and manage the cost of Digital Workplace technologies and associated budget, licensing and vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency, optimisation and return on investment. This role is an integral part of the Digital Engineering Services and Solutions leadership team and the department’s evolution to bridge the gap between legacy systems with modern, agile, cloud‑based solutions whilst maintaining compliance and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
- Planning change management; incident management and problem management standards; and common service focused frameworks such as ITIL Version 3.
Skills And Experience
Functional / Technical Competencies Essential
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, SaaS applications and modern collaboration suites.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools to optimise end user experience.
- Knowledge of the Citrix product suite over multiple product versions, including (but not limited to) Virtual Apps and Desktop and NetScaler.
- Experience of overseeing design, implementation and support of Citrix solutions for multiple environments.
- Experience working with and leading teams supporting the following technologies: Microsoft App-V, Office 365, Citrix, Ivanti, Windows 11, AppSense, Altris, Global Relay, FS logic, Wyse Management Suite, Armoured Client, CoPilot, Symantec.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Modern Workspace with Enterprise Mobility + Security stack including working knowledge of some of the following technologies: Microsoft Azure for the Office 365 Tenant, Exchange Online, Identity Management (Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, ADFS, Microsoft Identity Manager/FIM), Intune design and configuration for MDM and BYOD, Intune design, configuration and deployment of Windows 11.
- Experience with Office 365 technologies such as; Azure AD, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Pro Plus, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, Intune.
Preferred
- Powershell for automation, troubleshooting and improving service delivery.
Education / Qualifications Preferred
- Degree educated and / or equivalent experience preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator (MD‑102).
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
- ITILv4 Foundation or Intermediate.
