MUFG is a leading global financial group looking for an experienced credit manager to support the assessment and management of credit risks within structured finance transactions, with a particular focus on securitisation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior colleagues, provide balanced recommendations on complex credit applications, monitor portfolios, and contribute to the development of robust credit risk frameworks for the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
- Review complex credit applications related to asset‑backed finance transactions (auto & consumer credit, RMBS, trade receivables, and other structured products) and provide balanced recommendations to senior management.
- Continuously monitor the portfolio in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring timely identification of risks and early action where necessary.
- Support Group Heads in developing and refining CIB Credit for EMEA’s risk framework, portfolio monitoring and early‑warning systems.
- Develop knowledge across various industries, sectors, countries and financial/legal structures within securitisation, and commit to ongoing learning.
- Demonstrate MUFG’s Risk Culture Pillars by taking accountability for identifying and mitigating risk, managing risk within the department, and acting as a risk partnership role‑model.
- Represent the credit division at internal forums, sharing insights and collaborating with colleagues across departments.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance credit processes and frameworks.
- Communicate clearly and accurately with both senior management and junior staff about complex credit matters.
- Prioritise and execute tasks with urgency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Articulate and implement the vision and strategy for CIB Credit for EMEA through clear direction and effective communication with the team.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of asset classes including auto & consumer credit, RMBS, trade receivables, working capital (receivables/asset‑backed) transactions and other structured products.
- Solid background in corporate banking or structured finance with credit assessment responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of credit assessment principles and market and legal aspects relevant to securitisation transactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging senior management and junior staff.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and willingness to learn new asset classes or regulatory frameworks.
- Results‑driven, accountable, proactive approach to managing workload under time constraints.
- Logical, structured thinking with high numerical proficiency for accurate analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and analysis.
